![]() ![]() This is not my fault nor yours if the game is badly optimized! it's only the fault of whoever released the game. I imagine all of those problems would be 100x worse if you were to try playing on a Mac. ![]() The artstyle was made to look good in closeups, and isnt especially readable from a long distance like you want in an RTS, so you WILL probably be playing the game with certain settings turned down or off anyways. ![]() The game requires WAY more horsepower than its visual output suggests - Minor skirmishes in AoE3DE have sent my GPU fans at full speed trying to keep up, while it handles 40 unit vs 40 unit (Thousands of models) battles in Warhammer 2 with ease - And Warhammer 2 looks WAY more visually stunning than AoE3DE. Running a Ryzen5 3600 and Radeon RX 5700, the game occasionally fails to load in textures for certain types of terrain, leaving the ground jet back with trees and such appearing to hover over an empty void. On the windows side of things, the game isn't exactly perfect either. Maybe try Total War Warhammer 2 - Feral did amazing with that. Mac users need to stop bending over and putting in extra work to play games, that just further reduces the monetary incentive for devs to make games mac native. RTS is one of the few genres that actually throw modern games at MacOS and you shouldn't have to compromise to get that kind of gameplay, especially with Starcraft 2 being essentially free at this point. Regardless - As the owner of both a mac and a PC I don't recommend going this rout to play the game at all. What exactly was the benefit of the collaboration? The only qualifier for a Windows game to run on Parallels is that it use an older version of DirectX, unless that's changed as well in which case the collab seems even more pointless. ![]()
